ENERGETIC SECTOR - POWER PLANTS
The structural structure and favorable chemical composition make corn cob cores a biomass that is very well suited for combustion and co-combustion in heating plants and combined heat and power plants. Shredded cob cores (chips) can be used in heating installations powered by pellets, without the need to pelletize them, which reduces costs. The combustion heat of corn cob cores with a moisture content of 25-30% is 13-15 MJ.
